Dear Sen2Cube.at users,
we are planning a major update with a lot of new features at the end of the year and the system will not be operational from December 23rd onwards - likely until beginning/mid of January. We will let you know when the maintenance work is finished.
Please get in contact with us in case this is an inconvenient time for you!
Further, be advised that there is also a change in the semantic querying language, which means that your models need to be adjusted. You will be able to see the old semantic models but not able to execute them. The model structure and most of the blocks will remain the same but in any case we can help you with the translation into the new models.

Dear all,
since end of December 2022 we did a major update of our Sen2Cube.at system and most of it is completed now.
What's new? A lot, this is just a small overview of the highlights:

There are plenty of new features in the query language which wait to be explored. New reducers, new verbs such as interpolation/fill, kernel-based analyses, shifting in space and time ...! The query language is published as open source package and documented here: https://zgis.github.io/semantique/ which can be a starting point for understanding the new blocks.

It is possible to create projects with default settings. Inferences can be associated to a project. Projects can be used to organise inferences but also specify settings that should be applied. For example, when you create an inference with an active project and the project has a time interval specified, this is automatically selected. For executing multiple inferences, this can save a lot of time.

It is possible to change the basic colours of the map-results:
- The inference list can be filtered:
- The model editor allows to switch the colour coding, shows the model id and provides more information in the metadata such as when a model was updated the last time:
- Instead of uploading GeoJSON and using geometries from an URL as area-of-interest it is possible to access any WFS service, filter it, and use the Geometries as area-of-interest:
- Inference comments can be added directly at the first page not only when they are already executed:

When a model is exported, the metadata is included (title, description, last update, ...).

The versioning has improved, and is added to the result as metadata information.

More products have been added to the factbase for Austria: Topographic categories (mountain categories based on a digital elevation model) and aspect categories (based on a digital elevation model).

The knowledgebase (semantic models) was limited to 100 models; this limit was removed.

The scheduling execution of inferences has been improved and is more stable now.

Notifications are improved. There are also internal improvements that helps the Sen2Cube.at debugging your inferences based on the inference id.

General overhaul of the user interface with more icons.

Fixing a lot of bugs affecting performance, stability, and usage of the system.

As further information we want to let you know that we're currently testing an internal system for scheduling larger amounts of inferences (e.g., for entire Austria). Feel free to contact us if this is what you need!
Please note that currently only the factbase for Austria is operational again, we work hard to bring back the remaining ones in the next days as well!

the maintenance work and update is finished and all data cubes except SemantiX are working again.
The new version brings several updates and bug-fixes:
Using fine granularity of spectral categories
It is now possible to use 96 spectral categories instead of 33. The fine granularity can be accessed via the dropdown menu:
New Jupyter Notebook location
The Jupyter notebook are now at a new, more stable location. Instead of demo.sen2cube.at/notebook, they are now at notebook.sen2cube.at/sen2cube. This resolves several issues regarding the stability of the access.Using Cloud-Optimized GeoTIFFs
More recent images are stored as Cloud-Optimized GeoTIFFs. In particular for some smaller queries we expect a performance improvement through internal tilingNew old login theme

Bugfix in the Factbase selection
A bug was fixed that the factbase was in some cases not selected properly.Bugfixes
Various other bugs were fixed in almost all parts of the system and main components were updated to new versions.Please let us know if you experience any problems or errors with the new version.
-> We did not forget SemantiX but since it currently requires some special configuration, the maintenance take a bit longer, while the overall system can be used again.
